Tiwani Contemporary is delighted to share the participation of represented and associated artists in Venice on the occasion of the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia 'In Minor Keys', by the late Koyo Kouoh, and other exhibitions across the city.
In the Arsenale, Theo Eshetu presents 'Garden of the Broken Hearted', an installation and video project, exploring the garden as a space for gathering, growth, exchange, community, and thought, but also a sign of unrooting, control, and appropriation.
Also in the main exhibition, Temitayo Ogunbiyi's work examines the relationship between environment, line and representation. Her practice responds to and forges dialogues between current global events, anthropological histories and botanical cultures.
G.A.S. Foundation's inclusion in 'In Minor Keys', as one of six artist-led organisations participating in Kouoh's "Schools" motif, reflects its ongoing commitment to bringing together artists and thinkers, fostering cultural dialogue, care, and exchange across local ano international contexts. Artists Emma Prempeh and Umar Rashid are featured in its multi-media installation 'Chorus' as former G.A.S. residents.
Further exhibitions across the city include Nifemi Marcus-Bello in 'The Only True Protest Is Beauty', the inaugural exhibition of the Fondazione Dries Van Noten at the Palazzo Pisani Moretta, and Dawit L. Petros in 'Resonance: Vanderbilt University in Venice' at Fondazione Giorgio e Armanda Marchesani, Dorsoduro.
