Pearl Maiden embodies transformation in nature. The pearl is formed in response to a foreign object in an oyster—like my process of becoming, acknowledging the unconscious, dreams, and feelings. Circumambulation, gaining perspectives, reclaiming parts of myself previously othered. The chalk used in divination marks the body, a gift for communion with spirits.
