Pearl Maiden embodies transformation in nature, the pearl is formed in response to a foreign object in an oyster.
In considering the formation of this gem, a semblance can be drawn to the introspective stages of the spiritual development necessary in becoming whole.

The devotional act of attending to the unknown terrains -the unconscious, dreams, and other intuitive perspective functions, necessitates an approach of circumambulation.

A walking around these unfamiliar terrains to reclaim sacred and mysterious aspects of self, previously othered.

A circumambulation to gain perspectival knowledge.

Attending to, becomes a way to direct light.

illuminating and transforming those foreign terrains into a luminous fecund source.

Nzu (chalk) is used for several purposes; those gifted with insights from the non temporal world, often mark parts of their body to signify their ability to commune with the gods, it is also used in divinatory rituals.

The pearl maiden in response to the Head (oceanic offering) gifts the chalk, an exchange of sacrifice and gift is symbolic of the building of a sacred pathway built to commune with the depths.
