The drawing attempts to illuminate the wisdom embedded within the Igbo numerological system. In the Igbo language Isato is the number 8.
The number 8 appears twice in the drawing; in the form taken by the snake on the arm of the heroine. and in a quaternate pairing in the figures present.
The groupings of four references the four day cycle of the Igbo week >the number four is then a unit of existence.
The quaternate pairings connotes- temporal and non temporal existence.
Thus the number 8 signifies the coexistence of two realms in harmony. The heroine, having arrived in that sacred realm, dances to express and celebrate her alignment. Attainment of rhythmic harmony is expressed in the element of air.
