The pilgrim seeks to foster a conscious relationship with the oceanic depth and in doing so offers the locus of consciousness-the head. The framing of the work references the current planetary crisis of coral bleaching seen in the Great Barrier Reef caused by climate change. The reverential act acknowledges the existence of higher consciousness residing in nature’s depths. The head which can also be read as a seed, is offered to gain wisdom for healing of the waters.
